But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This refrigerator is costly and I was expecting better.

This fridge is a good choice, despite the small blip. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment offers 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on the same as a French door fridge costing this much. It also has a decent-sized icemaker packed into the left door, but it's not the biggest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to make a custom storage solution. The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is stylish, too. The LED lighting is an attractive accent. The bins for storage inside include a third shelf that can be folded down to store tall objects. The drawers include temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and shut however I found the plastic's textured coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere across the globe. It also has numerous options for customizing. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill, an option available in a handful of other GE fridges that allow you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. It does have a countdown feature on the fridge display to show how much water you have remaining, but that's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to look like it's a seamless part of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a veggie compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer and two compressors to preserve food items. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This refrigerator is a great option for a single family or kitchenettes looking for a sleek design and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0°F and never fluctuated by more than a fraction, this is crucial to prevent freezer burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within an hour and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its top-quality appliances. It's therefore no surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. This app allows you to control and monitor your refrigerator remotely on your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is expensive, but it offers great features and capabilities for the price.

While the fridge is a fantastic piece of equipment but it's important to be aware of the limitations. It has a small shelf space, so you'll need to be creative when it comes to storing large items. The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage in a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the refrigerator has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door, two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set crisper drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more headroom. There's also a full-width storage drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the ice when needed. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, too, like sliding drawers to help you better organize the placement of items. It has a large bin for storing frozen food, and a separate container for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. It allows you to control the temperature of your fridge, lighting, and more from your smartphone. It's a great way to control and monitor your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this refrigerator than other refrigerators we tried. This could be due to the larger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this fridge. They have handles that are sunken on the front that allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, but they're difficult for taller people to steer closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they had a front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those looking to blend the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is above average for counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, making it a great option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a French-door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a basic refrigerator which may not be as eye-catching like some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make a suitable option. Its most significant feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food items like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser and a decent ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits over the two crisper bins, is a great feature. This drawer lets you divert a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power directly to this area, meaning you can keep food items that need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've found that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the fridge didn't differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a solid performance but doesn't quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise readings of your fridge's temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It does a great job of removing streaks and fingerprints, even compared to glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
